Mandatory Harvest and Effort Reporting

Harvest and Effort survey information is a vital component to help sustainably manage Alberta's wildlife populations and in setting future draw quotas. Alberta Forestry and Parks would like to thank all hunters for their participation in the annual survey.

General Information

For the 2026 hunting season, holders of a Special Licence are required to complete their harvest and effort surveys by February 15, 2026 for all Special Licences they purchased. Failure to submit your 2025 mandatory reporting will result in future restrictions on the eligibility to apply for special licence draws and the requirement of a $15.00 survey fee to restore that privilege.
Elk special licence holders with late seasons ending Feb. 28, 2026, mandatory reporting is due by March 15, 2026.
You are required to complete your reporting even if you did not harvest a species.
Every completed survey will be entered into a draw for a 2026 opportunity to hunt a Moose, Elk, Mule Deer or Antelope.

How to Complete Your Harvest and Effort Reporting

Reporting can be completed through your AlbertaRELM acount here or in the mobile App.
To complete your reporting in the mobile App:

Open the app on your mobile device.
On the Dashboard, locate the Reporting section and click the Report icon. Follow the steps to complete your pending harvest reports.
You can also select Harvest Reports under the menu icon (three horizontal lines at the top of the screen) to be taken to your pending harvest reports.

To complete your reporting online:

Sign in with you WiN or the identifier on file.
Under My Account select Account Summary then select Review pending reports to complete your pending harvest reports.
You can also select the Harvest Reports tab under My Account to be taken to your pending harvest reports.
